MISSING - PLEASE HELP

This is a horrible post to have to do but I just can not believe this.  A classmate of mine has gone missing in the Boston area.  She recently move there.  Below is her information and news coverage on the disappearance.

I grew up playing sports with Amber since we were in Elemntray school and have continued to play on Rec softball teams after we graduated.  She is a very fun loving, outgoing person.  She also has a daughter and family that miss and love her so much.  I just can not believe this is happened and I just want to get the word out.  If there is anyone that lives in Boston or has connections to Boston PLEASE get the word out.  Also another way to help is to PRAY.  Pray for Amnber's saftey and for comfort for her family and friends through this emotional and stressful time.  Thank you to everyone that can help.  (please let me know if you can help in anyway.)

5K run

Today my Husband and I will be running in a local 5K race.  I have done a few in the past but my Hubby has not.  I know that he is excited but also a little nervous.  We have not been training for this at all.  We have been working out but not running.  Last weekend I got curious so I took Mallorie in the jogging stroller and we went for a run while Brad mowed the yard.  I ran 3 miles in 30 minutes.  (Mallorie fell asleep on the run) I was pretty happy with that seeing as how I walk about half a mile of that.  I am hoping that we can finish this race under 31 minutes.  We will also have the jogging stroller with Mallorie so it will be her first 5K too!

Father's Day

Yesterday was pretty busy.  First I made Brad Breakfast in Bed and then we got ready and went to church.  After church I made lunch and we went for a walk and just hung around the house. (just as the hubby wanted on his Father's Day)  Then we went down to my parent's trailer about 45 south of where we live.  We swam in the pool.  It was Mallorie's first time in a big pool and she LOVED it.  Then we cooked out with my parents and my brother, sister-in-law and my neices and nephew.  It was a great time.  Then we rushed home so we could get Mallorie over to my in-laws because they are going to have her overnight so my mother-in-law can watch her on Monday.  It was a busy but fun day.  I hope everyone had a great day and all of the Fathers felt loved and special on their day!

My handsome Husband and adorable Daughter!
Happy Father's Day!

A new recipe

I got this recipe from a blog that I follow and I made it the other night and it was so Yummy!

Pasta Salad

1 cup shell macaroni (or twists or elbow...)
hard boiled eggs - I use 2, but you can add more or less to taste
1 small can tuna fish, or like amount of chopped ham, or diced chicken
1 can peas
1 tablespoon chopped pickles (optional)
1/2 cup salad dressing
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

In 2 cups boiling water, cook pasta until tender. Place in colander and drain with cold water. Allow to cool.
Toss together meat, peas and pickles. Cut eggs fine and add to meat mix. Stir in pasta and salad dressing. Stir in cheese.
Refrigerate overnight. You may need to add more salad dressing before serving, as pasta may absorb some.

This makes a great summer supper!

Great Book

This book is AMAZING.  I read it in one day.  It is a very easy read but also very interesting.  This book is about a little boys trip to Heaven and back and the things that he saw while he was there.  And there are some amazing stories that he has.  I do not want to give to much away because I think that you should read it.  If you are looking for a book to read I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Feeling Crafty Friday

It has been a while since I made anything "crafty" for Mallorie.  I have had a couple ideas of what I wanted to do.  So today I had some extra time (thanks to my noisy neighbor who woke me up.) so I thought I would finish some projects.

I saw these shirts on another blog and sadly I dont remember which one but I just LOVED them. I got the shirts from the dollar store just to try it and see how they turned out.  Now I wish that I bought higher quality shirts but I think that they are still really cute.  I can not wait for her to wear them.

Here are some hairbows that I also had made.  I made a new "4th of July" bow, a Chrsitmas bow, and just a fun one to go with a few of Mallorie's summer outfits.  I have not tried them in her hair yet but I am hoping that they are not going to be to big.

I then made a modge podge of other bows.  A larger purple one, a fun Button clip with extra buttons that I had, a purple flower, and one of my favorites is the bumblebee.  I will admit that I did not make the mitten.  I got a big sewing basket with my hubby's grandmother passed away and I found this clip in it.  I just thought that it is really cute.
